PR Fundi was started in January 2019 by two experienced Ugandan PR Practitioners to promote excellence in PR practice, bridge the gap of knowledge sharing and networking within the World communication industry.

What started as a normal coffee discussion about the state of professionalism in the communication industry that inspired PR Fundi?  Many people were joining from other sectors with no starter training. Some practitioners were already in the industry but needed reskilling and reawakening about the modern day practice shift from just being media agents. 

Founders of PR Fundi did not just want to sit as spectators at their own communication industry issues on who must do something to promote excellence in PR practice. PR Fundi is an affiliate of the NODE Group.

Our first PR Fundi public event was a Masterclass on Communication Planning on May 2, 2019.at Kati Kati. The First Masterclass had 20 participants. The session’s Fundis were; Onapito Ekomoloit (Fundi Master), Director Legal and Corporate Affairs, Nile Breweries, and Peter Kaujju (Fundi Guest). The session was moderated by Ian Rumanyika.
